Well, for me it took a couple months and a prescription for Effexor XR to get to the point where anxiety attacks weren't keeping me awake 24/7, but I'm sure it's different for everyone. It helped me to give up coffee completely and switch to green tea, and yes nicotine is definitely a factor.

It sounds to me like you're doing just fine considering your sobriety time, but it couldn't hurt to talk a physician about a sleep aid that'll work for you.
