zprexa

I gained 801bs on zyprexa (antipsychotic) in two months on my 37 year old110 lb. frame. My family said it was from age! They were just trying to be mean about it. I was always very thin. It can put you at risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I myself am unsatisfied with the drug. They should warn people that it makes you gain excessive weight. I know someone that gained 200 lbs. I starved myself the entire 41/2 years that I was on it. What it does is it makes your fat cells grow, even if you don't eat. It takes up to a year and a half before the receptor site in your stomach sends the message to your fat cells to tell them they can shrink back to normal again. It has taken 11 months of being of the drug to lose 40 of the 80 lbs. I was underweight before so I will be happy if I lose another 20. My doctor said my body should return to its normal weight in seven months. It has caused me to become anorexia as I have been so unhappy with the weight gain! Be careful with it! I don't trust it. I think it is dangerous to your health and should be pulled off the market. Take caution!
