Nope, addiction does not discriminate. I think you'll find that the people in meetings are for the most part open, honest and committed to recovery. I personally am nervous going to any new meeting alone, regardless of make-up. How about bringing a friend or looking for a woman's meeting? Or, call the NA hotline to ask about different meetings in your area?
