    VIVE-LA-VIDA is a new high-end, affordable, executive alcohol and drug addiction intensive outpatient treatment facility with residential sober-living in Southern California. Located in the quaint city of San Juan Capistrano, the outpatient rehabilitation center with residential sober-living was developed to tailor to each of its client’s individual needs in order to reintegrate them back into society sober. Vive-La-Vida’s treatment team is equipped to work with primary addictions of alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, prescription pills, methamphetamine, heroin, and other various mind or mood altering drugs.

    Additionally the treatment team focuses on the appropriate rehabilitation for clients with dual diagnosis of bi-polar, depression, anxiety, eating disorder, gambling and sex addiction to name a few.

    Vive-La-Vida offers a wide range of therapy that involves all aspects that make up a human being: the mental, the physical, and the spiritual. A typical day for the clients involves 12-step meetings, mediation and yoga, individual and group therapy, art therapy, didactics, and exercise at an exclusive gym. One client states “I love the focus of Vive-La-Vida! Not only do they help me work through my issues, but they teach me how to structure my day!� Vive-La-Vida is a Social-Model Treatment Center that teaches their clients how to implement their new tools and coping skills into their daily life.

    Dr. Martin Pennington, Psy.D., Doctor of Clinical Psychology, is the Clinical Director at Vive-La-Vida’s rehabilitation facility. He has twenty-five (25) plus years of clinical experience, and eleven (11) years working in chemical dependency. He is a graduate of Boston University and Boston College. He received his Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology from Ryokan College in Los Angeles. Dr. Pennington has additional training at the Cambridge Institute, Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, and Hannaman Medical College. He is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. The “Doc�, as his clients call him, integrates a synthesis of developmental, object-relation, cognitive therapeutic and existential modality in his individual and group therapy. He believes it is vital to assist his clientele through navigation of a healthy transformational change in their thinking and behavior.

    Eric Nada, M.F.T.I., is Vive-La-Vida’s Marriage and Family Therapist and has experience aiding victims of domestic violence. Through psychotherapy, he recognizes each individuals psychological patterns and approaches to life, so that a more holistic and individualistic outlook can be adopted. Eric sees each client in a group and individual setting.
    Joan Evans-Fay is the Neuromuscular Massage and Meditation Therapist at the Intensive-Outpatient Treatment Center. She focuses on the holistic approach to well-being and helping her clients get centered, find self-awareness, and develop positive self-expression. Joan works with the clients in individual and group settings through meditation, yoga, journaling, and massage therapy. Joan says “meditation is effective at the beginning of the healing process as well as at the end of recovery, it never really ends.�
