February 7, 2007 — SouthCoast Recovery has opened a beautiful new office in Southern California that is solely dedicated to their client’s alcohol treatment and drug rehab needs. Paul LaMorticella, a world-renowned interior designer, graced the drug and alcohol treatment center’s facility with his artistic talent. The new building consists of six individual counseling offices, two group counseling classrooms, and two acupuncture and massage therapy rooms all arranged to provide a serene environment for treatment. The state of the art center enhances SouthCoast Recovery’s success as a social-model alcohol and drug treatment center, which teaches clients how to structure their day and live as a productive, sober member in society.
The Southern California Treatment Center believes it is imperative to create a microcosm of the real world in order to teach alcoholics and drug addicts how to implement recovery into their daily life. In a structured-realistic environment, SouthCoast has the ability to work with their clients on how to apply their new tools and coping skills, and how grow up and become accountable and responsible. Now, having a separate office facility, the clients are held responsible to plan appropriately for each day.
SouthCoast Recovery recognizes that utilizing their new facility gives their clients a taste of what it is like to go to work or school every day. Most alcoholics or drug addicts lose this form of discipline throughout their using. The clients are learning accountability and structure.

The treatment facility’s goal is to help transition their clients through this uncomfortable change from addiction into a lifestyle of recovery. Through SouthCoast’s treatment, the clients begin to build habits of adult behavior. They wake up, make their beds, and get spiritually centered for their day. Then, off to work! The clients go to the new facility for their daily intensive counseling. In the late afternoon, the clients are transported to the local 24-Hour Fitness to take care of their physical well-being. They end the day preparing dinner and going off to a 12-step meeting. Sounds exhausting; however, addressing all aspects of a human being, the mental, the physical, and the spiritual, works!
